These blends look simple, but the joy of a synergy is just that: The oils work in tandem to provide therapeutic value. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Lemongrass essential oil is known as a powerful anti-fungal and skin astringent. It is my Springtime go-to for warding off insects, mold, and fungus caused by high humidity. The scent is strong: Adjust the amount of drops as you prefer, adding them slowly to the maximum noted. You may find you can do more with less. In these recipes, the percentage of oils to carrier is 5-6 percent; decrease amounts for a lighter aroma.

For the massage blend, combine essential oils with 1 oz. carrier oil (I like Argan Oil) in a glass bottle. Gently roll the bottle between your palms to warm and blend.

For the aromatic mists, add to distilled water in a 1 oz. glass spray bottle. Avoid spraying near your face.
